Air France Pilots Threaten World Cup Strike

PARIS Air France pilots threatened on Friday to launch a two-week strike to coincide with the start of the World Cup football tournament if a pay dispute were not settled by the end of May. Pilots have called a strike for Sunday and Monday which is expected to affect domestic flights slightly, Air France management said. The main union representing pilots said that a strike might be launched on June 1 or 2 and will last for a minimum of two weeks.

The World Cup will last from June 10 to July 12. (AFP)
